Trakt is the tracker other software plugs into. If you run Plex or Kodi and want everything marked watched without lifting a finger, it is still the right answer. What it has never done — and does not claim to do — is tell you what any of it costs you.

| Account required | Yes | No |
| Records what each service costs you | No | Yes |
| Cost per hour you actually watched | No | Yes |
| Flags a service you stopped using | No | Yes, with the dollar figure |
| Free-trial countdown vs your backlog | No | Yes |
| Free tier limits | Tightened in 2025 | No limits |
| Paid tier | VIP — price doubled in 2025 | None. It's free |
In February 2025 Trakt raised VIP pricing by around 100% and tightened what free accounts can do. A lot of people went looking for alternatives that week, and the honest advice for most of them was: if you need scrobbling, stay. The tooling is worth the money.
But if you went looking because you resented paying a subscription to track your subscriptions, the answer is not a cheaper tracker. It's a tracker that pays for itself by showing you which of the other five you can drop.
Add what you pay for, tick off what you've watched, and the Subscriptions tab gives you a cost per hour for each service and flags anything you've gone quiet on. Free, no account, exports any time.
