Help Me Binge is a free TV & movie tracker that runs in your browser. No app to install, no account required, no VIP tier — every feature is included. Rebuild your library in minutes by pasting your show list.
Trakt is a capable tracker with a long history, and for some jobs — like automatic scrobbling from Plex or Kodi — it's still the strongest tool. But some longtime users have been rethinking after the recent redesign changed workflows they relied on, and the features many people care most about sit in the paid VIP tier (about $60/yr).
If that's you, the good news is that a watch history is rebuildable — and a tracker doesn't have to cost anything, or even ask for an email address, to do its job well.
Honest caveat: pasting a list rebuilds your library, not your per-episode watch dates. For shows you're mid-way through, you mark where you are — the progress picker makes that quick.
| Help Me Binge | Typical paid trackers | |
|---|---|---|
| Price for the full feature set | Free — no premium tier exists | Free core + paid tier for extras |
| Account required to start | No — track immediately | Usually yes |
| Works in a browser, no install | Yes | Varies |
| Tells you which subscriptions you pay for but don't watch | Yes — the scorecard | No |
| Taste-match % with friends & partners | Yes | No |
| Sports teams next to your shows | Yes | No |
| Auto-scrobbling from Plex/Kodi/Jellyfin | No | Trakt does this well |
That last row matters: if automatic scrobbling from a media server is essential to how you track, Trakt remains the better tool for that specific job, and we'd rather tell you that than waste your afternoon. For everyone who marks episodes by hand anyway — most people — nothing here will feel like a downgrade, and the price is zero.
Everything included, for everyone. Stats, streaks, achievements, per-episode ratings and notes, Binge Wrapped, calendar, lists — there's no premium tier because there's nothing held back to sell.
Know which subscriptions to cancel. The subscription scorecard is the only one that tells you which services you're paying for but not watching — not just what they cost, but which ones are wasted money.
Watch with your people. Partner sync for couples, a taste-match % with friends, a "decide for us" swipe for pick-tonight standoffs, and per-episode discussions.
Shows, movies, and sports in one place. Track TV across every service, log movies, and follow your teams' upcoming games — something no other tracker does.
It's yours. Export your full watch history as a CSV anytime, free. Your data walks in the door and it can walk right back out.
